Why I am doing this!

I was born in the Seychelles in the late 1970's and moved to the UK when I was 5 years old. Whilst here I settled into school and general London life, I made friends, went to university, became a teacher and now work for a small charity.

Although I consider London my home, nothing can replace Seychelles and I miss it every day. I miss the colours, the sounds and the smells of my real home; banter from neighbours and passers-by, sand between my toes during an afternoon stroll, pushing zanmalak into my face on the veranda, having picked them from the garden, and feeling that I am right where I belong.

It is through missing and loving Seychelles that I have created this website.

I want to use it along with our social media to connect with other Seychellois people and promote Kreol culture, Seychellois run business and events.
